When I moved to Wake Forest, we had to drive into Raleigh for a good concert but now we don’t have to leave the town limits. My two favorite concert series will begin in April–Friday Night on White and Six Sundays in Spring.
Friday Night on White happens in the heart of our community in historic downtown Wake Forest on the same street as my Folks Properties, Inc. office. The music begins on Friday April 8 and continues every month through Friday, Sept. 9.
The best part of this outdoor concert series is it is free. There are a number of business booths set up along with beer and food vendors. It’s very busy, so come early to find parking and expect a big crowd

Beginning on Sunday, April 24, 5:30 p.m. is another one of my favorite outdoor concert series in the beautiful Joyner Park in Wake Forest. It’s Six Sundays in Spring.
COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Six Sundays in Spring in 2020 and 2021, but now it’s back!
Bring the kids, friends, a picnic and a blanket and settle in for some foot-tapping, finger-snapping good times. The 2022 Six Sundays in Spring concert series is scheduled for six consecutive Sundays from April 24-May 29. Sponsored by ARTS Wake Forest, these free concerts get underway at 5:30 p.m. and take place rain or shine at the E. Carroll Joyner Park Amphitheater, 701 Harris Road, in Wake Forest.

I’m hoping for good weather on these concert days so we can all enjoy the outdoor concert experience right in our backyard of Wake Forest, North Carolina.
